Alfano Discusses Implied Easements at NH Land Surveyors Association Conference

At the annual fall conference of the New Hampshire Land Surveyors Association, Paul Alfano gave a talk on the ways an easement may be created by implication. These easements are largely products of New Hampshire’s common law, meaning that the underlying theories were established by the courts rather than the legislature. Without statutes, determining whether an implied easement exists can be challenging. In a well-received presentation, Attorney Alfano outlined the implied easement theories recognized in New Hampshire and explained how to identify them.
